WILDLIFE IN ORONO

Residents are truly blessed to have an abundance of wildlife in Orono.  We are close to the Cities yet remote enough to see all types of wildlife.  With the number of parks, trails and lakes in the area you are sure to see some, if not all, of the wildlife captured above quite often or on a daily basis.

If you have a great wildlife picture you would like to add to our site, please submit them in .jpg or .bmp format, with your name to webmaster@ci.orono.mn.us.  We would love to recognize you on this site!

MOOSE SIGHTING IN ORONO

With all the wildlife in the area, this is one animal that is not usually seen in these parts.  Do any of you remember the Moose that was migrating and was actually in Orono during the winter of 2003?

Well it was quite the site and a neat experience for those of us that saw him.  He actually stayed in the Orono area for quite a while, guess he liked Lake Minnetonka and the Orono residents.

If anyone happens to have a picture or an experience you would like to share of the Moose in Orono.  Please send it to webmaster along with your name, we will make sure you are recognized.
