ADOPT-A-GREEN-SPACE PROGRAM - ORONO

bulletThe Adopt-A-Green-Space program is a community effort organized to clean, beautify and protect our City's green space for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations.  City parks, lakeshore commons, nature conservation areas, wetlands, beaches, dock areas, vacant lots, parking lots, areas along streets and boulevards, and other open spaces need regular care and attention.

bulletWe can contribute by the cleanup of garbage and litter, planting flowers, shrubs or trees, or removing noxious weeds from these areas.  Groups and individuals who adopt these responsibilities for a particular green space will not only save precious tax dollars but will greatly enhance the appearance of our city, thereby boosting "Home Town Pride" and encouraging visitors to our community.
