Yard Waste - Will It Ever End?

     Remember state law prohibits disposal of any yard waste in landfills or solid waste facilities.  Check out the suggestions below on how to get rid of, or recycle your yard waste.

Turn Yard Waste Into Compost
Composting is a great way to recycle yard waste into new soil for your lawn or garden.  Spreading finished compost over your lawn helps to improve plant root growth and helps hold in water & nutrients.  For resource information on how to compost, check out our compost page.

Check with Local Garbage Hauler
Some garbage haulers will pick up yard waste as part of residential service.  Most haulers will pick up for an additional fee but may have some conditions such as: bagging & sorting the yard waste.

Take to Disposal Sites
These places will charge a fee. There are sites that are open year-round for your convenience.  Check out the leaf & grass disposal page for locations.
