Yard
Waste - Will It Ever End?
Remember state
law prohibits
disposal of any yard waste in landfills or solid waste
facilities. Check out the suggestions below on how to get rid of, or
recycle your yard waste.

Turn Yard Waste Into Compost
Composting is a great way to recycle yard waste into new soil for
your lawn or garden. Spreading finished compost over your lawn helps
to improve plant root growth and helps hold in water & nutrients. For
resource information on how to compost, check out our
compost page.

Check with Local Garbage Hauler
Some
garbage haulers will pick up yard waste as part of
residential service. Most haulers will pick up for an additional fee
but may have some conditions such as: bagging & sorting the yard waste.

Take to Disposal Sites
These places will charge a fee. There are sites that are open year-round
for your convenience. Check out the
leaf & grass
disposal page
for locations.
