Rental of Residential Docks (File 11-3503).  The Planning Commission is in the process of reviewing potential amendments to the zoning code regarding the rental of residential dock slips. Currently, the City prohibits the rental of docks on residential property. The City is considering alternative ordinance amendments regarding this issue: one alternative is to revise the current language prohibiting rental of residential dock slips to allow for temporary dockage by guests, relatives or others under certain conditions; the other amendment seeks to merely clarify the current regulations which prohibit private, residential dock slip rental.  Two public hearings have been held, and a third hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 21; the meeting begins at 6:30 in the Orono City Council chambers.
